As we expand our UK based manufacturing facility, TRP will now take delivery of our latest REP V29 injection moulding press, following a change in 2016. This will further increase capacity for specialist precision rubber mouldings, with particular focus on very small, tightly toleranced rubber products, including rubber to metal bonded parts.
The new moulding press is suited to the following applications:
Bonded seals for breathing apparatus
Anti vibration mountings
Valve stem seals when tight control is essential
REP V29 injection moulding press manufactures rubber that is used for breathing apparatus
High repeat and accurate shut off
The small shot capacity and platen area of this press offers high repeatability whilst allowing accurate mould shut off on inserts, reducing excess flash and aiding the finishing process. It is ideally suited to the manufacture of bonded seals for Breathing Apparatus demand valves, small Anti Vibration mountings and valve stem seals in FKM, where very tight control of shot volume is essential to achieving a repeatable process.
New vacuum press commision
Following this in July 2016, we will commission our latest vacuum press. This will have a very large platen area of 2.5m x 1.5m, with a daylight of 500mm. This press has been designed primarily for the manufacture of large one piece gaskets, including complex PTFE to rubber bonded PHE gaskets, PTFE protected gaskets for the chlorine industry and window or glove box seals for the nuclear industry.
