Exploration for and recovery of oil, gas and hydrocarbons is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous. These challenging environments involve ever-increasing exposure to high temperatures and pressures. TRP have developed a range of perfluoroelastomers (FFKM), fluoroelastomers (FKM), HNBR and Aflas® materials specifically developed for downhole conditions.
Our FFKM materials offer market-leading chemical resistance, suitable for use in sour gas O-rings and for many other fluids. They are also suitable for use as rapid gas decompression (RGD) O-rings / AED O-rings, with materials certified to Norsok M-710 Annex B / ISO 23936-2 specification available.
Our range of oil and gas rubber products include O-rings, packers and water stop seals for pipelines.

TRPlast® 230AED is a general-purpose, rapid gas decompression-resistant (RGD) material that provides excellent temperature and high pressure resistance up to +230°C (+446°F). This RDG O-ring material has similar chemical resistance to that of PTFE but with elastomeric properties comparable to standard fluorocarbon rubbers.
TRPlast® 300AED is an RGD O-ring material formulated for elevated temperatures up to +300°C (+572°F). It is designed for use in geothermal applications and provides excellent high temperature water and steam resistance.
An FFKM material that provides high chemical resistance, TRPlast® 230 Norsok is primarily designed for use in oil and gas and other high-pressure applications, providing optimum resistance through thermal cycling. This grade has been used successfully in applications up to pressures of 2000 Bar at 200°C.
This Norsok FFKM O-ring material is formulated for environments that contain strong amines, H₂S and mixed chemical streams at high pressures and temperatures.
